I've tried many different coats over the years but never found one I really liked. not tested extensively in the rain yet) and protects my dog's coat from snow and sleet. One side is fleece and the other side is waterproof. I've lost two coats because the velcro just doesn't hold up over time. I'm pretty sure if it had been depilated it would never have been an issue with this coat! I had to struggle for a brief second - only to my surprise because the velcro was so strong when I first took my coat off. My dog is 23 pounds, thick chested and medium sized body. He is part Lhasa, Schnauzer and Yorkie. The medium size is perfect for its size! There is some flexibility in size which I appreciate! I'm just glad I finally found a coat that keeps out snow and sleet, is warm, windproof, has secure velcro and fits!
