As a sewing machine beginner I bought this thread to have a variety of colors on hand for future projects. I am giving this product one star because it may work well for hand sewing or embroidery, but will NOT work on a sewing machine. When I tried to use it on the sewing machine it was difficult for me to even hand thread the needle which resulted in my clothes being pulled into the machine causing 2 needles to break. As soon as I switched to another thread, all problems stopped. The photo shows how much thicker this thread is than the usual universal polyester thread and how many free fibers detach from it. If you are looking for sewing machine thread, DO NOT BUY THIS, buy something from a reputable brand.
