This little gem is perfect. Who would have expected to love the compost bin so much? It's quite small (as described), which I like. And it looks great (like in the picture). Haven't had time to sniff it yet, but the filter is a lot bigger than the ceramic bucket I used before (which was effective), so I'm hoping it turns out great. And I think it will take longer. I also like that it's made of steel. I had a very similar pottery, also beautiful. But I like it better for two reasons. First, it's lighter, making it easier to carry around when it's full. Second, my pottery cracked (so sad) from leaving it outside on a frosty day last winter - I can't remember why; So if you have or choose ceramics, don't do it, they are very sensitive to climate. I already feel great composting. It's just a nice bonus! bliss.
