I really love the concept and look of this little pop filter, but turns out it will transform the sound you record. For a singer recording vocals at home, the changes are audible and unbearable. I've done many sets of comparison tests between sound waves recorded with no filter, with a conventional round filter, and with this filter. Although this filter removed some pops and wind from the recording, it also removed a lot of detail from entire tracks. It sounds like recording with the mask on. I made a few tweaks to this thing to get it working because its size and looks are so optimal. And the results after modification were much better than before: a thin layer of foam just disguises your shot, so I tore it off. The middle layer, which should do most of the filter work, turns out to be just ONE coarse-meshed layer. It's a shame to call this thing a pop filter. I cut out two square pieces of mesh from my old clothes and add them to the middle layer. I think the product can't hold more than two extra pieces of mesh as you can't screw the screws back in. Good price, easy assembly. If you don't mind some modifications to your sound or DIY, then this product is for you. But if you want high quality sound and want this thing to give you that kind of result right out of the box. Avoid it or wait for them to update it.
