Excellent at filtering out explosives and obstacles Get control of the Blue Yeti

Love how it looks on my Blue Yeti mic. My only concern is how the lag screw blocks the gain control on the back of the mic. It's not impossible to adjust, just a minor inconvenience when that lag screw gets in the way. Those of you with big hands might find this more annoying. It also filters well, nicely and discreetly, a good alternative to traditional 4-5 inch pop filters, especially if you're vlogging from a desk or podcasting on video.

Like the small size, didn't do anything for my explosive - too close to the mic!

I really wanted to love this pop filter. I hate having a big round pop filter to try and read text while recording, but it did absolutely nothing for explosives. There is no way to adjust the distance from the pop filter to the microphone. Other pop filters are farther away, but this one is *so close* to the mic that it's effectively ineffective. It's inexpensive and pretty, but the two mounting rings don't affect the distance from the filter to the mic. I would recommend that Muki cut a slitโ€ฆ

Good (cheap) idea!

I really think the design of this pop filter is a pretty cool idea. It's not shaped like a traditional pop filter and might not impress the average non-musician that much lol, but you know what it WORKS? It does the job. And don't take up half the mic stand, lol. It blocks explosive noise and hiss just as well as old-school pop filters. Maybe better, especially up close. Take a look at that thing too. It appears that some research and development has been done with its metal mesh outer layerโ€ฆ

Seems to be doing a good job.

I'm not a professional audio engineer, I only use this for streaming but it seems to work very well. I hold the mic about two inches from my mouth, and I won't hear a pop unless I really try. The audio doesn't seem to suffer much, either, if at all, when recording locally for sound checks. Build quality seems pretty good. The metal picks up fingerprints like crazy, but you really shouldn't touch it once it's on. The ring that attaches to the microphone has rubber feet on either side to preventโ€ฆ

Read This Before You Buy

I really love the concept and look of this little pop filter, but turns out it will transform the sound you record. For a singer recording vocals at home, the changes are audible and unbearable. I've done many sets of comparison tests between sound waves recorded with no filter, with a conventional round filter, and with this filter. Although this filter removed some pops and wind from the recording, it also removed a lot of detail from entire tracks. It sounds like recording with the mask onโ€ฆ

Big fan of my Moukey pop filter!

I love this product. While I feel the mounting rings are a bit flimsy, I'm giving 5 stars for convenience, cost, and size. keyboard speakers. I found a "lite" version of the traditional pop filter at Staples for $10, but it's too bulky for a cheap spring arm and impossible to install. So when I stumbled across this item, it was perfect for my needs! I couldn't use the Moukey with the Sennheiser e609 without the universal damper. Before I got it, I installed a Staples pop filter on my desktopโ€ฆ
