Firstly I have (now) 4 Hafny bike mirrors in my family and their quality and finish is very good. No complaints. I bought this mirror for a flat bar road bike which I just received. I would choose one of the Hafni bar end mirrors but my bar ends are not open like most bars. Based on the reviews I read I figured this would be a good choice. I've tried mounting it over the bar like a traditional mirror, but like the others, my forearm and shoulder are obstructing the view. Now I installed it under the bar but I'm not happy with the result. My position on the bike is such that my eyes are about 6-8 inches from the stem. In order to see through a mirror, the glass portion must be at an angle of about 45 degrees. This greatly reduces the size of the mirror image. It might look big in the list above, but tilt it at a 45-degree angle and you'll get the idea. When I drive and look in the mirror, I see a wide (side-to-side) and short (top-to-bottom) view of what's behind me. Also, the only position I can put it in most usefully means that my wrist is partially in the way and I have to lift it up a bit to get a better view. The final consideration associated with an under-bar mirror is sweat. My forearm is still above the mirror and sweat drips onto it on a warm day. If the hand that actually holds the mirror on the steering wheel could move a bit, that would help a lot.
