Picks up dirt well on flat surfaces. Watch out for large items (such as rock salt or mulch) as these will be easily crushed by the brush. Unfortunately it doesn't fit in my Kenmore Intuition Bagless Upright Vac as supplied. However, you can purchase a 3/4 inch to 1 inch PVC adapter at any hardware store for about $2 at a plumbing store. Insert the threaded end into this template (make sure it's straight) and then finger tighten until it bites into the plastic - again make sure it's straight. It doesn't have to be screwed all the way down. Insert the other end into your vacuum cleaner's wand. Check out the photos to get an idea. However, it fits my Master 12 gallon vacuum with a small tool adapter.
