Review on 💪 ASUS ROG Strix 1000W Gold PSU: Enhanced Cooling, Modular Cables, 10-Year Warranty by Cody Bowie

1200W might be overkill (especially for the RTX 3080/3090), but I felt the need to "protect" my PSU from future parts. While browsing I came across this power supply which is perfect for my ASUS custom PC. In general I am very happy with them. and zips so you can organize your cords - Cool sticker (if you even care, hahaha) - Useful OLED panel to show you how much power you're using. I've seen a lot of people worry about how many watts they're using or how many they need for RTX 3000 cards, but I can just look at my computer to see my numbers haha. - Stunning design and love for RGB. Unfortunately, for some strange reason, I can't directly adjust the colors as I have other custom RGB compatible ASUS components (MB, CPU cooler, etc.). I was able to change the RGB colors of the power supply when I changed the RGB colors of the motherboards. . So I'm guessing how it works. Interestingly, with the 3950x and 2080s (not overclocked) playing at 1440p ultra-wide max settings, I drew about 300W total. A bit made me wonder if that was overkill, but at the same time it's nice to check your PSU for the future and not worrying about future upgrades, especially when it comes to running out of power supplies. All in all a great PSU, maybe a bit more expensive but I think this PSU is suitable for custom PC builds.
