Review on πŸƒ Organic Chamomile Baby Powder with Tapioca Starch, Calendula Flowers, Lavender & Chamomile - 100% Natural Formula, 4 oz (1 Pack) by Jennifer Costa

Smells good but doesn't work as a substitute for talc.

I bought this to curb my toxic overload and was so happy to find something that smelled so wonderful. However, after using it, I found that it doesn't work like the product it's trying to replace - Talk. I use baby powder as a dry shampoo because it absorbs all the oils when I sprinkle it on my hair. Also, I'm blonde, so when I'm between hair treatments it helps to hide my roots a little longer. However, using this alternative to talc as a dry shampoo failed miserably. The texture of tapioca powder is very different from talc, almost like baking soda, so it sticks together when exposed to oil or moisture. So when you sprinkle it on my hair it looks like I have big scales which doesn't look very nice. I tried combing and blow drying them but ended up having to wash my hair anyway. This product does not leave skin or hair silky like talcum powder, it is rough to the touch. In addition, the powder is difficult to get out of the container. The size and number of holes that the powder comes out of are not large enough or numerous enough to release the powder easily and therefore clog with every shake. Two stars for the taste - it's delicious and free from toxins.

Pros
  • FARM PHARMACY - We believe that it's not just what you put on your body that matters, but also what you put on your skin. Our skin absorbs a significant amount of the products we apply. If you use synthetic products, you can bet that pollutants will enter your body. Using products like lotions, cleansers, and hand soaps accumulates in your body. You can be sure that you are applying truly healthy natural products to your body and no longer have to compromise on quality.
