Review on Yamaha NS SW100BL Powered Subwoofer Black by Michelle Green

I wrote to Yamaha to see if it needed a "crossover" output to connect to an audio input dedicated to subwoofer speakers. They said it only works when connected to a specific subwoofer audio output and doesn't work with full signal (no treble crossover, normal full range audio output). I was advised to return this speaker if I needed to connect it to an audio interface with normal full signal output. This feature used to be included in Yamaha's 10-inch subwoofers, but they removed this feature, the ability to connect the subwoofer to a regular audio output without a "crossover". They sent me an email saying "The store descriptions probably won't list compatibility unless you contact them and ask." Contact Revain for system interconnect compatibility of this product. because it doesn't reveal any system compatibility issues. I believe Yamaha and the seller who provided us with the list are to blame for not being clear on the system requirements. I suggest Yamaha take a small extra step to integrate the crossover into the speaker. Other reviews say this used to be the case, but then Yamaha removed the built-in crossover and didn't make it clear in the product description. Entanglement. I messed it up.
