Pretty but not pretty

Great duvet cover! A definite step up from the miserable department store blanket I've been using for the last few years. I was unfamiliar with the Molecule brand but after reading all of their claims I was dying to try it. So far I have noticed both positive and negative sides of this blanket. It appears to be quite well made - it's packaged well in both a sturdy box and a lightweight drawstring pouch, and the material of the blanket itself is relatively thick and durable. It's soft and appears to be of high quality, although as other reviewers (both here and on other platforms) have noted, the filling is heterogeneous. As you can see in the photo where I hold it up to the light, the batting bunches up in almost every square (a problem ironically my cheap duvet never had). This makes the blanket look very lumpy even with a comforter. It doesn't bother me too much as (1) I hope it levels out over time and (2) it makes my bed softer and more comfortable. This comforter is machine washable so maybe sending it in and then drying it with tennis balls to smooth it out may help. Filling issues aside, the comforter is very nice when you lie underneath it. It's a good average weight that gives you a sense of weight without all that heat. At the same time, it keeps you warm when your room is cold. I found this to be a good compromise between my previous flimsy, cheap comforter and the extremely fluffy goose down I used in cold winters. I also really like the ribbing in the corners - my previous blanket didn't have them and they make it a lot easier to keep the pad in place. There is also a small label that says "TOP" so you don't have to guess which end is on top. Full size bed) quite well with no awkward clutter. (Note though: This is indeed too large a quilt to be considered "full/royal" as a full sized quilt usually ends up measuring 81-84"x 86-88". ) Finally, how does she fulfill her claim? Temperature and humidity control requirements? I have chronic Lyme disease and often sweat at night, regardless of the temperature of my room or the weight of my sheets. Unfortunately this blanket doesn't seem to make a difference in that area as I've been waking up sweaty for the last two nights. However, if your night sweats are more likely due to simple temperature issues, this duvet system may still be for you! Overall I really like this blanket despite the clumping and lack of temperature control. However, I don't think it's worth what they're charging for it (currently $200) as it's just not that different from other comforters. Good quality and certainly not a bad buy! UPDATE: A month has passed. Still lumpy even after some shaking and whipping. Also, it doesn't fit into the cover that well now - it's settled in such a way that the bulk accumulates on the sides. not a fan
