Review on 🔍 Gentex 50-GENK85A Frameless Auto-Dimming Mirror with Homelink, Compass, and Series 8 by Troy Meza

Installed on a 2017 Fiat 124 Spider. The standard mirror was an ordinary mirror. Visibility is comparable to going from a 1080p screen to 4k. The addition of auto-dimming is amazing for a tiny car, with most headlights shining straight into the mirror. The built in compass is a feature the car didn't even have with factory navigation and homelink, I don't have to dig through consoles to find a garage door opener that I have nowhere to attach it to. was easy (one torx screw attaching the mirror to the windshield and pulling out the two fairings). Since it was a convertible, I installed it slightly differently than suggested. I used an Add-a-Fuse to connect it to the ignition switch power supply and crimped both power leads (one for Homelink and one for Auto-Dimming/Compass) into an Add-a-Fuse. This keeps Homelink inactive unless the ignition is on, so if I park outside and they sneak over the top, no one can access my house.
