Review on 🚱 Hot and Cool Water Dispenser Faucet - InSinkErator F-HC1100-BB (Brushed Bronze) by Michael Powell

I used to have this particular model and it broke down after 5 years and 1 month (there is a 5 year guarantee). Anyway, I bought this as a replacement. It was easy to install and I really had no trouble getting it to work. This model does not have a threaded barrel. Instead, it uses a metal bracket that connects to the bottom of the unit under the cabinet and secures to the dispenser with a nut. This is the only model that will work with our granite countertops and other plastic threaded models will not fit through a hole in the countertop. I think the first review that mentions threaded plastic could be an older model or a completely different one, but I had one 5 years ago and it was the same design both times. I recommend this product if you have granite. Worktops like ours (deep, with narrow opening). Otherwise, choose one of the cheaper models that come with both a dispenser and a reservoir as this offers better value for money. It doesn't last forever (our previous one broke the handle, didn't shut off the water) but I don't think any dispenser will last as each seems to have a 3-5 year shelf life. I'm sure they could build them to last, but they just don't, so be aware that you may have to replace them at some point in the future.
