Update: 03/04/2021 Finally deeper support fixed my problem! I'm a lucky tourist! The new one works great and connects!_________________________________ Update: 02/23/2021 Got a new one. Same problem as before. The device does not show Deeper START on WiFi like the first device I bought which stopped working after a week. Tried on two different phones, laptops and tablets. What is showing is the ESP_2B6442 which is a device but support has clarified that this is incorrect. However, I've tried connecting to this one and it immediately fails. The 3rd block does that now. I contact support again and they send another one. Wifi+ disabled, no VPN and rebooted the phone to fix issues. Device is charging or placed in water and away from other Wi-Fi devices and no effect. The device is flashing, meaning it's broadcasting, the app has all permissions too, but it doesn't matter if it can't connect the right wifi name. The device is fully charged, Mobile/Cellular data is turned off, Wi-Fi support is turned off, Smart Network Management is absent, Portable Wi-Fi hotspot is turned off. It covers everything and still doesn't work properly. I spent days trying to get it to work and have done it 3 times in a row. I have sent them back and am awaiting assistance to diagnose what is going on. The Deeper app has permission to use "Mobile/Cellular" and "Location". To check this, go to Phone Settings -> App Settings and search for "Fishdeeper". ___________________________________ Update: February 19, 2021 After speaking to Deeper Support, discovered that the second device is defective? They send another replacement. I asked them to test it before shipping and they said they would. Customer service is excellent but having a company in Lithuania and having to wait for a replacement from there disrupts my fishing plan and use of Deeper. Will be updated upon receipt. ___________________________ Update: 02/14/2021 Received new ban and same problem. Deeper does not appear in the list of Wi-Fi devices to connect to. Doesn't show up on my Huawei Mate 10 or my LG K10 or my new Asus Zenbook or my Samsung Galaxy tablet or on my Dell computer's Wi-Fi network. Seems to be a bad batch/series? I emailed support again to see what they would do again. Initially, I had Deeper appear as the first device in the Wi-Fi list to connect to. Then it went away and now just shows ESP_280119 which I know is the device from the serial number but you can never connect to it. It just fails when you try. Both divisions are currently doing this. I emailed their support for a reply but I did mention that they seem to have a bad batch and are not certified when they leave the factory. After contacting support, they discovered that my device was defective. They ship a new replacement for free via UPS. Let's see how the replacement arrives and how it works. ___________________________ Update: 02/08/2021 Changed from 1 to 2 stars for the time being. After contacting Deeper Support, they determined (quickly, within a day) that the device was eligible for a replacement. Now that's what I call great service! I will update again once this issue is resolved and a replacement has been received as well as how it is working and what has happened to Deeper Support. ___________________________ Original rating: 04.02.2021 Bought a week ago. Only used once and it worked great. A week later it doesn't work. No longer shows up in Wi-Fi to connect. Support contacted. I've never seen a device fail so quickly with little to no use, which is disappointing.
