Even Apple products are like this now: I have a friend who had to replace the motherboard on his Macbook Pro when it was less than a year old. Although you'll find fewer new products on the market today than you might have found when there was a stable middle class, you're still paying $1,000 for that phone, laptop, or other device. I'm doing my best in every area of my life to get out of there. This is a great purchase! When my Samsung touchscreen laptop with 8GB of RAM and a $900 SSD started struggling after only 3 years, I was forced to look for something new. I decided to rethink my tech habits and life so I wouldn't have to pay that price again. I already had a pretty good $100 22-inch Acer monitor and figured I could hook up a nice used desktop to it if I could find one. I've done a lot of research here on Revain and was amazed by the prices for refurbished desktops. If you go this route, you can get a machine with amazing performance at an amazing price. I chose this product based on the seller's amazing features and great customer support ratings. SO happy with it. Thank you to this seller! I was concerned about this aspect of the computer: will the text be grainy or clear and smooth? But the text looks very good and clear, as does the video. I'm very picky and very happy. MUCH better than many new, expensive laptops on the market in this regard. can handle almost anything you do online. Many tabs and windows can be opened during video/music playback without much effort. MS Word documents can also be opened at the same time. The whole world is yours if you just surf the web and do basic computing tasks like working with MS Office. - I'm on Zoom video calls with a lot of people and I have Chrome tabs/windows open. Copes with all of this with no problems. No more laptops melting and heating up to 500 degrees or whatever is trying to process calls. - I like that I can upgrade the RAM later if needed. - I like how many USB ports I have now. - I put it on this beautiful collapsible trolley that I bought used. I love it. Use it when you need it on the couch, roll it up and reclaim your living space when you're done. - Depending on how old the parts of the car are, I'm wondering if it will last longer than something new based on the scenario above. Used goods from the middle class period are usually better than new ones. Let's see how long they last before needing repairs. I'm hoping to get away from that a few years before that happens. But so far I am SO happy with this computer and so happy I paid $200 to replace this laptop instead of $900. I have a great job with a reliable and fast computer available. never mind But if after a short while your monitor suddenly stops outputting (mine got dusty after 8 months), try replacing that cheap HDMI adapter first. I bought one from BestBuy for $25 and it worked. Also, I bought a cheap $10 external DVD drive after I plugged it into my computer once and all but one of my USB ports stopped working. It sucked, but I used the last working port to connect a 7 USB hub and I'm back in business. I'm not sure what happened, it was probably something with this cheap device. But I would advise just being careful with this computer. Overall I still love this computer after 8 months of ownership. If I can use this computer for 2 years, I will beat the system. :)
