I have another one and the ceramic part on this product is much thinner. On the plus side, it looks more like a night light than a thicker model. However, it does get very hot, to the point where you can't touch it. The wax melts quickly, but there is a faint smell of burnt rubber. I hope this changes over time, but I didn't have this problem with the first one I bought. I'm more worried about how hot he is. My older model can run for hours and still feel warm. I noticed that the new product has a different bulb, that could be the problem. I threw away the box, otherwise I might send it back.
