This works great, attractive and good value. I recommend buying whole beans and grinding them fresh for the best experience. Don't expect it to brew multiple cups of coffee at the same time, or in the same amount of time as a 'regular' coffee pot. This product is intended solely to provide the aesthetic value of brewing one delicious cup of coffee at a time. The taste of the final product is a bit weak, but that may simply be because we haven't honed our skills yet. Overall, it's affordable, makes a delicious cup of coffee, and is a joy to look at. You'll feel like a steampunk mad scientist mixed with Sherlock Holmes. The only problem I had was not the product itself but the packaging I received it in. It was a Christmas present for my boyfriend so of course I wanted it to be a surprise. Wherever this product is packaged and shipped, if the buyer states that this product is a "gift" (which I did), the box it comes in must be packed in an Amazon package. I understand the rationale behind less packaging and less waste, but with the holidays approaching, many people are requesting that items be sent as gifts with tact. It was packaged in a box with a life size image of the product on the sides. I realize it was probably the box the product came in, but my friend got home before me on the day of delivery and saw his gift 2 weeks earlier than he was supposed to. I feel extremely discouraged, but despite everything, he was happy and grateful. Just prepare to receive it in a very descriptive and descriptive package.
