He had a job. - New lighting
After 18 hours of warm-up and regular checks, the lamp did not work. It was bought "used as new" so it is possible that this item was resold broken. I contacted Revain customer service to tell them the lamp had all proof of work but was not working and spent 20 minutes patronizing someone with low reading comprehension who thought I just needed help assembling my lamp properly. Revain has officially grown big enough to explode due to its own mediocrity. We bought the previous lava lamp from Target for the same price and will just buy another one there.
