I have a 5 month old labrador puppy who starts barking every morning around 5:30am in his cage (which is indoors btw) to be let out to play. I was at the end of my rope and decided to try this device. When it arrived it was a bit cheap and made out of plastic and I immediately doubted it would work. And yes, you have to supply your own 9 volt battery, which didn't bother me at all. Well, the first morning the pup barked, but not with her usual passion, but my skepticism persisted. second morning. NO BAILING! Day 3. NO BARKING! etc. Oh, and don't hurt the pup with the device and/or correction. Not sure how it works but it definitely worked for my pup and I couldn't be happier. My morning is peaceful again.
