To be honest the thing is a bit chunky, although it more or less fits my card. EVGA could definitely make it look better than it really is if they tried. And while it sits higher and farther from the back of the card than your power cable connectors could, the real benefit is that it pushes the power cables down toward the motherboard, keeping those cables and connectors out of the air above the CPU -Hanging airspace, creating a more serious problem of airflow and turbulence. Sure, you can manually route the cables to fit better than usual, but this thing gets the job done for you more reliably and without too much hassle. Unless your VGA power cables are custom or combed, this will likely improve the look and airflow of your case. FWIW, I installed it on a big fat EVGA RTX 2080 Ti XC2 Ultra card with little effort. Installation Guidelines: - - Unpack the PowerLink and remove the rectangular rubber covers on either side of the top of the PowerLink. Don't worry as they fit perfectly when you put them back on. Glue is not used. If the power connectors are misaligned, you will need to move them until they are properly seated. Do this part on paper towels or something big enough to show the loose screws. If you drop one of the flea-sized screws in the carpet, good luck finding it! So use the included hex wrench to loosen the 8-pin connectors _enough_ to move them, and no more! Of course, if you must use a 6-pin connector, you must completely remove the corresponding connector and replace it with a 6-pin one. Carefully align the power connectors with the power connector (by sliding them into the guides). connectors on your graphics card, but do not press them all the way down yet. Make sure the back inner surface of the PowerLink is in contact with your graphics card with no pressure. -- Tighten the screws until the connectors no longer move. Disconnect the PowerLink from the card and then reinstall it. Make sure the plugs fit freely in the ports. All is well? If not, loosen them and repeat the process until they are properly seated. When you're done, tighten the screws until they stop moving. -- Reattach the rubber covers to the PowerLink. "What you do next is up to you: First, I routed the power cables the way I wanted. PC case and then connect them to the bottom PowerLink connectors. Then I gently pushed the entire assembly against the graphics card until it (the card) was securely connected to the motherboard. However you do it, it's important to make sure that PowerLink isn't flagging, and that you're not putting too much stress on your graphics card (and motherboard) while doing all of this. must be!
