Worked like a charm in my mom's 2011 iMac. We immediately noticed a significant increase in speed. Installing on an iMac seems complicated, but it's actually quite simple. At the bottom of the screen (where the ventilation holes are located) is a bezel that is held in place with three screws. A commercially available Phillips screwdriver is required. With the cover removed, use the tabs to release the existing memory modules (you may have to pull hard), and then slide them out. Then simply line up the new modules (they can only go one way) and push them straight in until you hear a slight click from either side. That's all. Start your computer. To ensure your iMac recognizes the full 8GB of storage, simply click the apple icon (top left of your screen) and then click About This Mac. Use packaging to keep old memories. You won't get much for it, so I recommend just keeping it as a backup in case you ever have a memory failure.
