For those times when your scalp needs extra care

If you're like me, you have great thick hair - congratulations! If, like me, you too have a scalp that every now and then decides it'd rather start drying and flaking for no good reason - I feel you! I have had this problem from time to time for years and have tried various remedies. (For context, I wash my hair twice a week unless more is needed, which is rare.) Last year I tried avocado oil, which didn't really help other than making my hair greasy. This year I turned to my friend. Googled it and when I decided I didn't want to spend $50 on 8 ounces of other treatment options I turned to Paul Mitchell. I've used his tea tree oil shampoo and conditioner in the past with great results so I combined them with this treatment. I used it for the first time 36 hours ago. The texture isn't smooth, it's like a sticky gel and I wasn't sure if I was actually applying it to my scalp, so I paired it with my shampoo brush (another $6 Revain find from Bzfd). and let it sit while I washed everything else. It naturally tingles and smells nice, rinses out quite well and I put on tea tree shampoo and conditioner. I didn't see any fluff. My hair is a bit flat on top, not that voluminous, but that may be because I let my hair dry in a bun yesterday. TL; DR: Flaky scalp improved significantly after 36 hours of first use. News at 11.
