Review on Enhanced Vivitek Qumi Q2 300 Lumen WXGA HDMI 3D-Ready Pocket DLP Projector (Black) by Stephen Hobbs

Revainrating 4 out of 5

would be a 5 inch video projector

Cons I'm lazy, no power button on the remote but small and portable, no AV RCA adapters or audio jack. However, it comes with mini HDMI to standard HDMI, but it is recommended to buy a lesbian female to female adapter to connect a longer HDMI cable. * It took me about 30 feet from the AVR to the projector to get an 8 foot wide screen. You need to leave the projector on for about 5 minutes to warm up the lamp and then OK to arm it. If you can get your hands on a THX optimizer, use it to fine-tune your display. If you're using a laptop with HDMI, you can set it up to your liking. It may take a few minutes for this to become clear. Connect the power adapter to the projector. The fan is similar to a laptop fan. Seriously, you'll notice the clock or fridge running before you think about the fan. But the fan speeds up when it's hot and slows down when it's cold. using the IR thermometer on top of the unit, approximately 158 degrees Fahrenheit when operating and approximately 120 degrees Fahrenheit when set to Eco Lamp. I personally just keep it in normal full load mode. The on-screen selection could have been a bit better, but I'm just picky. Small and cute *_* Great picture and its DLP is undoubtedly much better than LCD projectors. The crisp, foot-wide picture is good for parties and romantic experiences :o), but seriously, I'm very glad the laptop pairs this with either a battery-powered portable audio dock like the Bose or the LG and makes a fuss everywhere, it was suspicious in that little thing. It's not IMAX, but you get the idea. So I wanted to comment on this projector that I bought a few years ago and it was a really good buy. I recently figured out how to turn off a projector using a remote control Android phone. function, and turn it back on, which means don't use the manual switch. Wow. I was also able to control the volume and a few other functions that a regular remote command just doesn't do. It's starting to turn grey, dominated by colour, but I've got over 22,000 hours on it and 2,000 hours on Eco mode. I recommend using a vacuum and dust collector to vacuum up the dust once a month or so. The dlp chip/pixel or mirrors start to fail a bit. you only notice it when the screen is black. I like using projectors because some TVs give you the sensation of a burning retina. In addition, the energy consumption is very low. I plan to upgrade to a newer model in the future.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and chunky
