Not for beginners, for outdoor sports and play

This kite is not for beginners. The instructions for building a butterfly kite are quite simple. To attach a kite to a string handle. They usually have a latch to secure or attach the kite rope to the kite loop. This kite requires you to manually tie a double knot on the loop section of the kite. If you have flown kites before or built any type of kite you will know what I mean. I untied about 1 1/2 of the kite ropes, lifted the kite into the wind and threw it in the air for it to fly while my son raced to catch the wind. The kite will catch the wind but will dive nose right or left unless you know how to pull the line immediately to keep the kite upright. we are at sea, where there was a fairly strong continuous gust of wind. It will not be easy for a beginner to fly or stay in the air. Even an experienced pilot will find it difficult to control this kite in the air. Because he tends to pull or pull to the right or left and wants to do a nose dive every 1-2 minutes. Basically, you have to keep an eye on that damn dragon or it will fall on you. The kite's rope isn't very long (half the length of most beginner kits) so could this be a possible reason why this kite was having such a hard time maintaining its flight? If the kite's rope was twice as long, it could probably fly higher to maintain flight, but trying to nose dive for 1-2 minutes is another problem. Definitely I would advise against this kite if you are planning to buy one for your kids or grandkids. Save face and embarrassment, buy other type of kite than this one. To show them how to fly a kite. The kite looks beautiful, but flying it is another story...

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Ok for the most part, but...
