Review on Securely Mount Your Bimini Top With Seamander'S Stainless Steel Deck Hinge by Frank Ridl

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Although I preferred the more robust pivots for holding down .

Although I preferred the more robust pivots for holding down the Bimini I also purchased, I did not realize these come angled and are not 90 degrees to the deck mount base. As a result, the Bimini attaching routine is much more difficult because it does not align well. Also, the retaining pins used weak riveted pivot pcs. Two of the pins came with broken pins so I had to switch to insertion clips to keep the pin in place. Fix these 2 areas and you will have a winner deck mount product.

Pros
  • mounting hardware a lot sturdier that the plastic ones, glade i made the up grade
Cons
  • Requires professional installation: For those who lack the necessary DIY skills or don't own the right tools, the Seamander's stainless steel deck hinge may require professional installation, which can add to the overall cost
