Hit or miss. It works about half the time and just doesn't work the other half. At first I couldn't get it to work at all. When you try to initialize your hard drive, you keep getting the "Hardware problem" message. Then, a few days later, it suddenly works out of the blue. Then again, when you need it most, you've decided to solve the hardware problem again. At first I thought they were bad disks so I tried several good disks and the same with reports of a hardware problem. Bought as a cheap alternative to accessing spare hard drives but frustrated that it works half the time. I'd rather spend more money and get a NAS.
