Review on 📷 Logitech C930e Webcam: Unveiling Crystal-clear HD Video Calling and Exceptional Clarity by Kevin Ballard

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The best I could get back then.

Had to buy during the pandemic. I was hoping to get something to use for streaming and video production as a "B" camera for my two Canon EOS DSLRs. Of course, the quality is a far cry from the Canon T6 and nowhere near the Canon 5D. It works for me after fiddling with the settings, but it just suffers compared to the other two cameras - it looks blurry and slightly out of focus. However, it is MUCH easier to use than two DSLRs which require additional hardware to be used as a webcam and even for use with OBS DSLRs this studio is not directly powered, it is an HDMI to USB -Converter and some additional questions required. For those occasional uses, I'm glad to have it. Another thing that might help others: When I installed the control app that comes with the minidisk, there was an error on startup. I really couldn't find much help from Logitech and what was suggested on their support site just didn't work. I found that the application requires the .DLL, ssleay.dll and libeay.dll system libraries which are part of the Intel OpenSSL library. I found the latest versions of these .DLLs on the OpenSSL website and fortunately fixed the error. I would imagine this would be intimidating for most end users and likely require a return.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
