Replaced my dog door doors because the ones that came with the 6 year old dog door we installed looked dirty - small tear on one. The only problem was that the screw holes at the top of the flap are oval. You are going for a plastic part with a round shape. So you need to set them up there somehow. The valve rubber WILL stretch to accommodate the plastic pin. I used some glue and small clips until the glue was dry on the plastic part and the valve (just around the holes) then I screwed the 2 attached parts onto the existing ones. dog shelter area. Worked MUCH better. I hope this helps you all else fix that dog door!
