Pretty good shoe, some fit issues

I bought these trail running shoes after extensive research. I'm a 120 pound male with an athletic build who exaggerates. Height 9.5 feet, normal width. Left. I used to only wear Asics until they started making their shoes so narrow it was ridiculous. So I stopped buying them and switched to Brooks for my last 4 pairs of shoes, all ASR Brooks Adrenaline. find new shoes. Luckily, Asics started to widen their shoes a bit, which allowed me to fit in the ASICS GEL Trabuco 9s. Fit: snug but not tight. The toe box is roomier than previous Trabuco models, which were terribly narrow. However, the toe is even more pointed and looks like an arrowhead. The toe box is slightly longer than the Brooks ASR and GTS, which share roughly the same last shape. A stronger toe angle bends the big toe towards the midfoot - almost all running shoes compress the toes this way - WHY? So that's a problem with any shoe, but the effect is more pronounced in these shoes, but not as severe where it hurts. have textbook feet. My heels are not narrow but slip a little in the heel cup. This is more noticeable on changing surfaces. Tying the laces to secure the foot helps a little, but the laces aren't long enough to use all of the eyelets. WHY?! Because these shoes are designed for stability, they should have plenty of arch support. To get this you need to buy a special insole. Upper: Beautifully made, while the 'fabric' that makes up the upper looks cheap, it feels quite nice, if a bit warm. There is an ASiCS logo on the sides of the shoe and some structural 'supports' which are misleading. They have absolutely no structural integrity. You can stick chewing gum or scotch tape on your shoes with the same success. they look good & it's just that. Okay, they offer some support, but it's so negligible that it hardly counts. I was very disappointed in that. the Trabuco 10 has even less of this thin material. The bumper on the toe is gorgeous and actually a solid piece. On the Trabuco 10, this has been replaced with the same material as the sides, i.e. chewing gum and no toe protection - WHY Asics? This is one of the reasons I got the Trabuco 9 and not the 10 as they don't actually have a toe guard. Traction: Good and grippy, but when your heel slides around it the ride gets a little wobbly with almost no traction. Again, using all the eyelets would be a possible solution, but the laces are too short. Stability/Movement Control: Everything works fine for my left leg, which is more "normal". My right leg, which is more penetrating, was unfortunate. Although shoes have features that prevent pronation, they do not have features that promote supination. To do that, he needs better arch support, less tightness, better heel wrap and a slightly smaller midsole and outsole, less heel drop and a little more cushioning on the side – hmm, that all sounds kinda different. whole shoes. So if you don't have wide heels, a normal arch, and a narrow forefoot with long toes, this shoe may not be the right fit for you. Pronators may need to purchase longer laces and more supportive insoles. People with a more neutral foot will enjoy these shoes much more, but heel slippage can still occur. A few of them adjust a bit though, and while it's not quite what I'd like, it's not too bad compared to the Trabuco 9. I'm running in them for now, but I'll make sure Brooks improves his lineup again.
