Took me about an hour to install them. I think if they moved the studs closer to center they would be a lot easier to install. Because of the way they are made, you have to drill the holes very close to the ends of the blade, making the task difficult. The drill must be handled very carefully not to scratch the surrounding plastic on the blade. If you do a quick web search first, you can find a good YouTube video that shows you exactly how to do it. I had the same problem, I didn't open the hood. These trim pieces are of excellent quality and look absolutely stunning. They will definitely stand out and really tear the hood off.
