I have had two different webcams since the beginning of the pandemic. This Amcrest ACW-195C was purchased to replace ANY webcam. Here are the pros and cons of these two cameras: Pros of EVERYONE: 1. Very secure mounting clip2. The camera rotates 360 degrees and rotates up and down on the mounting clip. ALL negative: 1. The ultra wide angle lens creates a fisheye effect and distorts the background. This might be fine for capturing a room full of people, but lousy for one-to-one zoom or other video calls.2. The video image distorts skin tones into a reddish hue3. Mediocre microphone 4. The lens cap does not completely cover the lens. Amcrest Pros: 1. Better video quality, more natural skin tones2. The 90 degree lens is ideal for one-on-one video conferencing3. It has a decent microphone4. Much better privacy protection Amcrest Cons: 1. Mounting clip not as secure2. The camera does not rotate on the mounting clip, so the entire monitor must be rotated to rotate the camera3. Difficult to tilt the camera up and down. I wish the Amcrest camera could be paired with ANY mounting clip. For now I'm sticking with Amcrest because it has the best picture quality.
