I had high expectations for this magnetic adapter, as it was listed by other sellers for around $27. I found this one, the same one for around $20, which is still fairly expensive for a small adapter, but more reasonably priced. It works very well. The magnet is very strong, and the plug fits into the MacBook pro’s usb-c port well. In fact, the magnet is so strong that it has a tendency to slightly dislodge the male usb-c plug from the laptop. The build quality is excellent, EXCEPT for the top end of the female adapter, which has been closed off using extremely cheap plastic. Hence the 4-star rating. Lastly, it is a bit bulky, but the convenience and safety benefits largely outweigh this small con.
