Are these the best and safest thing to use, probably not. I've seen complaints of kids moving forward on the east so their legs are straight out. We have not experienced this. They work great as an easily portable booster seat that keeps the seat belt away from a child's neck. We don't use these for daily use as we like something we can secure to the hooks in the seat and forget about. These are definitely better suited for traveling
