I like to set the timer quickly. Just enter the time and press start, old is easy. It can also increase if you are planning something for the future, like in my case filling a pitcher with water. Several times I felt guilty for leaving and forgetting as the cleaner went straight down the drain. Why four stars? My main gripe with this is that the magnets aren't very strong. It slides over the fridge. I fixed this by layering it over a more powerful magnetic grapple, not ideal but workable. And very quiet, the sound of the alarm clock is not very pleasant, sounds a bit cheap if that makes sense.
