Review on COMP Cams Dial Bore Gauge Combo 5605 - Ultimate Precision for Engine Measurements by Terrell Ciula

I bought this because it was a Comp Cams gauge and I knew the name. However, the indicator has no marking to indicate that it was made by or for Comp Cams. There are no instructions on how to use it. I couldn't figure out how to actually measure the hole diameter. The diameter I think I calculated is 10,000 different from what it should have measured. So the sensor got lost or did I miscalculate? I really do not know it. But as far as tapering the hole or elongating it, the dial indicator seemed to be working correctly and that way I was able to check my holes for tolerance. I give it 3 stars for its reasonable cost and seemingly accurate hole diameter measurement, 2 because it doesn't have instructions for use and it can vary slightly. I checked out the Digital Snap-On Hole Gauge at my dealer for $465, so it got the job done for a lot less in the long run.
