Works well, good price, order!

Decent product for the price. 1 out of 4 didn't work out of the box. It was missing a plastic battery tab that you have to pull out before use, so the batteries might just be dead. Depending on the frame and opening direction of your door, these may need to be mounted differently, ie which part is attached to a stable surface and which part is attached to a moving surface. If your door has an angular frame at all like the picture of my front door I've attached, it's absolutely impossible to get this to work where the magnets align. I tried every possible side and corner of the door; Too bad the front door doesn't fit in, so I'll have to find another type for it. In general, the ones I've fitted to the sliding doors work great. I was worried the single call mode wouldn't be flashy enough but now I almost wish it had a volume control, it's loud! It won't miss, that's the point. I have three young children and a couple of dogs. My daughter's room has a sliding door that leads to the patio and I always worry about her going in at night (I alerted her) and they happily go out and leave the front door open which is very worrying considering that I have 2 large dogs who are not dog friendly and we live in an area where everyone lets their pets roam off leash all day. Now I can see better when the door is open to make sure it closes! For doors that we use frequently, I switch them from bell mode to alarm mode at night. I love that it's so easy to flick a switch to switch between them, a huge bonus. Overall a good product but only works with the standard frame. In the near future I plan to order more for our windows.
