I bought this leash because we were told that our handler does not want us to use a retractable leash with our dog as it teaches him to pull the leash and causes bad manners. I liked the feel of the leather, it's very soft and the material is excellent quality. However, the hook is very easy to open. Our little dog (Yorkie, 6.5lbs) escaped a few times! We thought it was the design of the hook, instead of the clasp going up and down it curves inwards and backwards, which hooks the loops on my dog's harness and allows it to disengage. I was very disappointed that it lasted because I loved the feel of this leash! Now he's sitting languidly in the garbage can.
