As others have stated this assembled part is the same base price as the kit. It is exactly the same as the original part (it is OEM). Super easy to swap out. 1. Put the softener on bypass. 2. On the old part, loosen the knurled nut holding the brine venturi. 3. Remove the retaining clip at the top of the old part. 4. Pull out the old part, being careful not to drop the two O-rings (keep for reuse). 5. Reassemble with a new part. Note on my problem: My softener wasn't sucking in the brine at the right rate, so my salt reservoir was too full of water. Over time (apparently several months) the dissolved salt settled to the bottom of my tank. I had to clean the tank. And the salt was so thick it was at the bottom of the brine cylinder. So I had to pull it out and flush the bottom float valve with water. The floor is best cleaned with a shop vacuum cleaner. After cleaning it, I performed a manual reset to diagnose the problem. That's when I discovered that my device wasn't properly drawing water from the tank during the brine cycle. Then I replaced that part) and the problem was fixed. Now I also use ResCare cleaner to clean my resin balls. Everything's OK again. Just cleaning the old parts didn't help so I bought these.
