It really saves time compared to ironing with a traditional ironing board and iron. But it also has a learning curve. I work in an area that requires formal wear and suits, so I have clothes that need ironing 5 days a week. I'm watching myself This is practical because I stay "up" when ironing. I've seen some complaints about this - all I have to say is USE DISTILLED WATER - ALWAYS! If you use distilled water for this, you avoid problems with tap water. Tap water is NOT suitable for use in heated items as the minerals will coat and eventually destroy the interior. Pros: heats up quickly. Allows you to "iron" clothes quickly compared to a traditional board and iron. faster to "iron" my clothes and put them back in the closet for easy moving - can be used to steam things around the house. Cons: Big learning curve - I'm still learning and have been using it for a few months now. I didn't figure out the nozzles and the bending tool - it's easier for me if you hang the jacket on a hanger, the device will tip over - you have to hold it up
