Review on BN-LINK 8 Outlet Surge Protector with Mechanical Timer - Enhanced Power Control for Home Electronics - White by Noah Lewis

I ordered this surge protector to clear up the clutter around my TV. With a cable modem, wireless router, cordless phone, and other devices, this place looked awful. Century's surge protector solved my dilemma perfectly. Has 8 sockets; four that can be set with the timer function and four that which are activated at any time when the overvoltage protection is activated. The sockets are perfectly positioned so you can connect all kinds of plugs of different shapes to them and not block other sockets. So you can use all 8 sockets. That was not the case with the extension cord I had previously. There is a switch on the side of the surge protector which you turn on or off to determine if the 4 sockets on the side of the timer are on all the time or according to the timer settings. I don't need to put any of my devices on a timer, so I decided to put that switch in the "always on" position. There is a second switch on the side of the surge protector, which allows you to switch the device on and off without disconnecting it from the mains. That's a nice little plus if you want to conserve energy by turning off the equipment you've connected to the protection device when you're not working. I don't use them. The only downside I have to say about this device is that the cord is not 6ft as stated in the description and on the box. When fully stretched my height was 48 inches (4 feet) not 60 inches (6 feet). However, this was enough time for the surge protector to do the job I needed. I have attached some photos showing the switches as well as the length of the cable. I didn't have a second person to keep the cord fully extended while taking pictures, but you can make sure that the cable is about 48 inches long. I received this product at a reduced price in exchange for my honest review.
