I bought this topper to put on a very firm memory foam mattress. I was looking for a medium firm topper with a higher density. It was advertised as a high density product. It's light weight due to the gel foam and so soft. I love old memory foam, which is heavy and slowly molds to the contours of your body. I think more is not possible. Gel-filled memory foam is inferior and short-lived. I don't like crawling out of the hole every morning. This was the third topper I have purchased with similarly disappointing results. Each purchase was guaranteed higher density, but each time I was disappointed. I wish memory foam toppers gave me a choice instead of suggesting that EVERYONE should have a "cooler" product. Infusing the gel only reduces the cost of the product.
