too much glare (for my needs)
I wanted to use this as a light for my milling machine as other lamps are very expensive for this specific purpose. For this application you need a headlight type. (I think if you need a lamp for studying or reading books, you need the same one.) The LEDs are bright enough. The problem is that the lampshade or shroud on the sides (through those slits) lets in a lot of bright light, so in addition to a directional beam, you also get a lot of glare from the outside, making the work hard to see. Instead of sending it back I just taped the case 3/4 with tape. Now he's content, but he won't win any beauty pageants.
