I read all the reviews before ordering this waffle maker, most of which were positive. After receiving the waffle maker, I cooked it according to the directions, let it heat for 15 minutes to burn off the smell, and washed the pans. When it was plugged in the next day, both the orange (power light) and green (ready light) lit up at the same time, which was odd since the green light wasn't supposed to come on until the device was warm and ready to use. I removed and replaced the plates to make sure they were set correctly, reconnected them, poured in the batter, fixed and flipped to evenly distribute the batter. With the timer running, to my surprise the waffle maker never got hot when I opened it. What a mess! After cleaning the plates of raw dough I plugged it back in, both lights came on and after 10 minutes of inactivity it still wasn't heating up. What garbage!
