A little more work than a reed disk
Seems to work just as well as a reed diffuser. Without a way to measure the amount of oxygen added to the water I can't tell if this is the best reading or not. One of the advantages of a pedestal diaphragm is that you can easily place the diaphragm/main unit where you need it. The airstone needs to be in the bucket and placed neatly, and the airstone requires more effort to make it sit flat to achieve even bubble distribution.
