Review on πŸ“Ά Zibo Mini USB Wifi Wireless Adapter, 150Mbps, Compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, Linux - Boost Your Internet Connection by Joshua Garris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not compatible with modern Linux or Raspberry Pi kernels.

There is no driver for this adapter on Linux. While this suggests it's Linux compatible and there is a driver from MediaTek, it's poorly written and doesn't work with current Linux kernels (3.10+). People have managed to get this to work by updating the driver, but even with the correct driver, the adapter crashed every time I loaded the firmware. If you are a masochist and still want to try, visit https://github.com/porjo/mt7601 or https://github.com/kuba-moo/mt7601u (for version 3.19 and above) I would recommend spend a few bucks more for something compatible and supported.

Pros
  • Instant internet connection with a simple setup utility.
Cons
  • Color not required
