The AF 360 FGZ flash is a solid and serious flash for Pentax P-TTL DSLRs. It acts as a master or on-camera controller to control other off-camera P-TTL flashes (for K110D, K100D, K200D users). I use it with others in P-TTL mode wirelessly and with Pentax cable Pentax F5P 9.5ft Pentax Flash Extender and Pentax F adapter. I also use it extensively in manual mode, both on and off camera (as a optical slave). The flash is well designed. For the most part, it's pretty solid. I've dropped it multiple times and it still works! I have an issue with the battery cover - it looks nice but is a bit flimsy and can move around with rough handling, disabling the flash. Door latch, but I wish the latch was a little more secure. I've found that problems with P-TTL mode generally lie with the operator, not the flash. Many people report underexposure in P-TTL. Care must be taken as to what to expose, otherwise, yes, the area may be underexposed. If you're careful, the exposure will be almost accurate even for two and three flashes in P-TTL mode. The flash is very stable in manual mode. The luminous flux does not change from cycle to cycle. In the optical slave mode, the flash fires even with a very low initial flash output - works like clockwork. I wish the flash could swivel. I wish the battery door was a little stronger. Otherwise I am a very happy photographer!
