I just received these needles but as far as I can tell they are genuine high quality Schmetz needles. I bought several leather needles from Singer many years ago, as well as Schmetz and another brand I can't remember. Schmetz needles have outperformed other brands many times over. The only time I've broken or bent a Schmetz needle on my old Husqi Viking machine was when I pushed/pulled the fabric or leather too hard to get it to work. through difficult spots. Otherwise, Schmetz needles are incredibly durable. I've sewn layers of Cordura, project after project, with a single Schmetz needle, and it hasn't bent or broken. singers on the other hand. I broke them within the first ten minutes of sewing. Talk about disappointment. I'm not saying that Singer doesn't make a good product, I just found Schmetz to give the best results for me personally. I'm happy to spend a few bucks more for a better quality needle and make my life a little easier. Especially when sewing complex fabrics like leather. And to be honest the price of these needles from this seller is pretty fair - I would not hesitate to buy from ApartmentABC again. Thanks very much!
