First impressions are that they are well made and durable. In terms of lightness they do have some weight but I think it helps balance the child in everything you need especially when it comes to playing in the water. We tend to take our son on fenders in the summer and I think the weight is important as I don't want him to fall and hurt himself. These shoes are great because they are very easy to put on and take off. The Velcro upper allows them to stay on their feet if they get stuck in the water. The reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is because they don't drain the water very efficiently. Water tends to fill the shoes and stay in them for a while, making walking on water and heavy feet difficult. They also need some time to dry. They fit well, are comfortable, but need better drainage.

They're a bit small, but otherwise great. We live in winter so honestly I haven't had a chance to try them out as real water shoes but I can tell you they are soft, flexible and easy to put on and take off even for a 3 year old. These shoes are great. I love that they have a closed toe which protects so well when tripping over rocks etc. The sole is very supportive and protective - my kids even wear them on short hikes. They hold water in them if they sink while being worn which my child with sensitive feet didn't like that feeling. But they dry out pretty quickly if you wring them out and leave them in the sun. They are true to size and are comfortable.

My toddler wears a size 4-5 and I took a size 4.5 and they fit perfectly and are not too tight. The shoes are really cute and she was thrilled when she saw them. I just got them in the mail so won't test them until the weekend. Look as advertised.

These are great shoes for our almost 5 year old to wear during the day to summer camp. They are also great for playing in the pool or outdoors.

Great pair of shoes, easy to put on. Haven't used in the water yet, my kids only wore shoes for everyday use like walking and parking. I would say the size is true to size and I would definitely order them again.

My baby is currently a size 6 baby so I ordered a size 1 and a half (7.5) baby so she could grow into it but they sent a size 24 (any size) and it was too small. for her to wear, even now. These are nice lightweight shoes for toddlers. They have a velcro fastening, a fabric upper and a soft rubber sole. They work both indoors to prevent slipping on hard floors and are tough enough for outdoor adventures, although the fabric upper may not hold up in muddy situations. Fits just as expected. My daughter wore them to the river and lake. They fit well and are the only water shoes that don't let through tons of sand/mud. Her legs stay nice and clean when she takes them off. Very happy with this purchase!

These water shows are well done and very cute. It ran small so I had to return it and the next size up was out of stock. My son didn't seem to mind that they were small, but they were too heavy to put on.

Great shoes! Holds very well and very comfortable for my baby! The only thing I suggest is to go one size up! My son is a size 5 and a size 6 fits him perfectly!

Got these for my 3 year old and even with the adjustable velcro they are still very wide. Best with socks, but that somewhat defeats the purpose of water shoes.

This is my 2nd pair. Got a pair for my grandson and he loved them. So I got a pair for my granddaughter. She loves how easy it is to put them on even with her favorite socks.

This is my second time ordering these shoes. The only reason I had to change their order is because my two grandchildren outgrew the first pair. I love these shoes. They are lightweight and can be used as casual shoes. We live in Florida and you never know what the weather will be like. When it rains they dry quickly, and when they get dirty they are wiped and removed spotlessly. The best part is that they are so easy to put on that I don't have to help my 2 or 3 year old grandkids get dressed.

I bought these because I didn't want to buy hard shoes for my 15 month old son who is just starting to walk. These shoes are not only for the water but also perfect for everyday life (that's why I bought them)! I love how soft and comfortable they are while still providing the protection you need.
