First impressions are that they are well made and durable. In terms of lightness they do have some weight but I think it helps balance the child in everything you need especially when it comes to playing in the water. We tend to take our son on fenders in the summer and I think the weight is important as I don't want him to fall and hurt himself. The bottom is a bit thick but feels like it will stand up to toddler wear and tear. They are easy to put on and take off as they were dry, at least we didn't get a chance to try them in any water as it's just starting to warm up where we are. The bottom comes in and out easily which I think helps with the drying process, especially if you love us and need them again the day after your water adventure. The velcro on the closure seems to be pretty good, again not sure how it will work once wet but once dry it sticks pretty well but our son was able to use it like most velcro shoes that he has to undress himself. Overall I think these are great toddler shoes for summer. I think the graphic design is great and bright, the look and feel of the shoes is very well made, and they are of good weight so you don't have to worry about your little one falling off easily when you wear them outside.
