Bought a couple of these to hang blackout curtains in anticipation of the summer heat. The pole is supplied in several segments that need to be joined together to create the pole, therefore the pole can only be a certain length between the minimum and maximum lengths. This can be a problem if you need the exact length. The assembled rods are very strong and easily hold my curtains. This includes a roll of rubber band that sticks to the top of the rod to prevent a metal-on-metal noise when the curtains open and close, which I think is nice. I have ordered 4 more poles to replace the old poles in my house.
